    Great combination of lifters to watch, so physically and technically different yet both so strong and explosive.

    Sound effects are bitter sweet. It ruins the seriousness but it’s so funny at the same time 😂

    Question: in a clean is it better to hit your hips or your legs? Because I have longer arms so in a close grip I hit my legs but with a wider grip I hit my hips. Which is better?

    • @madworld109
      @madworld109 4 года назад

      In a clean you're meant to make contact with the upper thigh. In the snatch it's the hips

    • @grumpycroissant8712

      The higher the contact point, the more early arm bend likely will happen, killing the explosiveness from the legs. I have long arms as well. I use wider grip, wide enough without stressing the elbow, making it easier to switch to jerk grip (mine is so wide). Do not intentionally row the bar, relax the arms and tighten the lats

    i dont understand why he jump that high in the snatch , i believe this gonna make more pressure on him when he sits down , i think he can do more if he fix this problem.

    Anyone know why you see a lot of valgus knees (knees cave in) on Olympic lifters coming out of the bottom? To my knowledge it's not very mechanically efficient and is hard on your knees. And one would think that their coaches would be coaching ever tiny detail, leading me to believe that they are coached to do so.....anyways....just curious.

      @Daniel Story I've deadlifted over 500lbs without stratps. Get stronger!

      Lol, every elite weightlifter uses straps dumbass.
      And a 500 lb deadlift is nothing, so calm down.
